The redevelopment of the Northcote Aquatic & Recreation Centre has transformed a much-loved local facility into a contemporary health, wellness and community destination for Melbourne’s inner north.

Designed by Warren and Mahoney for Darebin City Council, the new centre brings together indoor and outdoor pools, fitness and wellness facilities, landscaped outdoor spaces, café and community amenities within an ambitious 6-Star Green Star project.

Spark Furniture contributed to the project with multiple seating options including freestanding & wall mounted, designed to complement the architecture and landscape while providing durable, comfortable spaces for people to pause, gather and connect.

With sustainability, accessibility and community at the heart of the NARC design, the furniture forms part of a wider public realm that encourages people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the centre and its surroundings.
