Carried out over the course of eight stages, the extensive grounds renovation of Lauriston Girls' School in Melbourne’s inner suburb of Armadale, included a variety of custom seating placed throughout the campus, and custom shade structures in the early years playground.
Laser cut designs, based on patterns created by dappled sunlight filtering through the canopy of a Moreton Bay fig tree, are seen in the powdercoated steel end plates of benches and seats, and in the custom shade shelters in the early years playground. Steel components of the furniture suite and shelters are powdercoated in a bright, custom blue, creating consistency, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere throughout the campus.
