A dramatic rectangular frame on each end of the Focus seat is softened by generously rounded corners, and intersected by the sweeping lines of the backrest and seat supports. Each frame compoment was designed following the principles of minimalism, which require every component of a product to have a function or to add tangible value to that product. The result of this design approach is a visually intentional seat that is engaging, elegant, and comfortable.

Originally designed in 2020, by industrial designer Tom Lauck, the design aesthetic of the Focus seat was extended to create a bench, deck bench, picnic setting, bike rack and bollard, forming the complete Focus collection.
