The Parks Library and Community Centre surrounds a leafy, plant-centric courtyard, blurring the separation between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Project designers at JPE approached SPARK for assistance in developing their concept design for a large planter-bench, to create focal points in the centre’s courtyard.

The finished planter-bench design comprises multiple cast GRC sections, sandwiching a hot dip galvanised steel frame, which carries the load of the floating timber bench.

The heart of this community centre, the central garden is a charming, relaxing area which doubles as an event and exhibition space.
