Brief: An upgrade to the ammenities and accessibility of the Adelaide road and Galwer street intersection, leading to further upgrades to intersections along Gawler street required custom seating and handrails in Australian hardwoods timbers.
Solution: Spark was engaged by SADB to design a handrail solution which accounted for changing heights and angles in a stone clad precast wall along a disability access ramp. The handrailing, installed by SPARK, required minimal site adjustments. Bench seating atop stone walling lines the other side of the street providing spots for pedestrians to soak up the cafe atmosphere.
