In 2021, Sarah Constructions were engaged by the South Australian Department of Education to deliver two new birth-to-year-twelve schools in South Australia. The $240M development involved multiple teams and stakeholders, and SPARK is proud of our engagement across the project.

Working alongside Swanbury Penglase Architects and Sarah Constructions, SPARK facilitated cost saving design innovations for the external furniture selections at both sites. Designed to meet the specific use requirements of being highly functional and aesthetically pleasing, heavy duty, hard wearing, and fire suppressing, project stakeholders were very pleased with the clean and modern style of the final suite that Spark put forth.

Additional furniture from the Gemtree range was clad in composite battens, and the stainless steel bins, lasercut with waste streams labels, were customised to feature an air flow reduction design to suppress fires. Spark also customised Gemtree tables to suit solid HDPE plastic tops, to be used as outdoor learning tables.

Installation and project management was conducted by Outside Ideas at the Aldinga site, and Space Landscape & Construction at the Angle Vale site.
