Spark was first engaged by Lendlease to redesign the existing picnic settings for Adelaide Botanic High School.

The original design featured table and bench surfaces made from solid stainless steel rods. Spark introduced composite timber for more practical bench and table surfaces, allowing the stainless steel framework to take visual centre stage, and enhancing the curved, modern aesthetic of the outdoor spaces.

In addition to the redesigned picnic settings, Spark developed and manufactured curved, meandering benches and round tables for the campus. These elements, along with stainless steel Ark bins, designed by Studio Arketype and available through Spark, and Spark’s District picnic settings, provide a cohesive design aesthetic throughout the school grounds.
