Project: Henley Square Redevelopment - Ripple Lounge The Brief Designed by Taylor Cullity Lethlean to be a focal point of the Henley Square Redevelopment project, the Ripple Lounge posed considerable challenges on more than one front. The lounge is a 30 metre long continuous structure integrated with an extended jetty walkway and exposed to intense salt, sand and sun. Our Solution SPARK’s industrial design team devised an intricate stainless steel structure to hold the 4 1/2 kilometres of timber battens that make up the undulating seats. Highly accurate and detailed drawings were essential to ensure consistency of this very long seating unit, which runs from the pier right back to the square.
